Niagara Falls State Park
Niagara Reservation State Park, which surrounds mighty Niagara Falls, is the oldest state park in the United States. The park is made up of numerous islands, as well as the famous Prospect Point area. The magnificent Great Lakes Garden greets visitors entering the park. The visitor center offers information and exhibits about the park’s history, geology and technology. The Niagara Scenic Trolley provides three-mile guided tours, stopping at the park’s most scenic vistas and at such facilities as the Niagara Gorge Discovery Center, which tells the story of the creation of the falls with exhibits and a multiscreen theater presentation. The Observation Tower has elevators that take visitors 180 feet down to the base of the tower for a close-up view of the American Falls. While in the park, ride the world-famous Maid of the Mist Boat and get wet while at the Cave of the Winds attraction. Visitors can also hike, bike and fish. Open year-round.

Maid of the Mist Boat Tour
The world-famous Maid of the Mist cruises right to the base of the American Falls, then to the basin of the magnificent Horseshoe Falls. It’s a fantastic journey through the crashing waters, surrounded by massive rock formations that have tamed the raging rapids for millions of years. An unforgettable 30-minute tour. The observation elevator offers a dramatic view of the Falls, while the deck extends out past the gorge for an unobstructed view of the Niagara River. Whirlpool State Park
Whirlpool State Park is located on the American side of the Niagara River, just a few miles north of Niagara Falls, near Lewiston in Niagara County, New York. It is located to the south of Devil’s Hole State Park and to the west of Deveaux Woods State Park.
Whirlpool State Park has two levels – the upper, or street level, has many points to overlook the spectacular views of the swirling waters of the rapids, the whirlpool and the Niagara River Escarpment. Visitors picnic and children use the playground at this level. The lower, or river level, is accessible by walking the 300 feet of trails and steps that descend into the gorge. This level has several nature trails and access for fishing. Open year-round.

Cave of the Winds
A thrilling walk on Niagara Falls’ wild side, the spectacular Cave of the Winds Tour takes visitors into a stormy mist zone, where “soaking up the experience” takes on new meaning!
Soak up the experience of being closer to the waters of Niagara Falls than you thought possible. Your journey begins with an elevator ride 175 feet into the Niagara Gorge. Then, clad in a souvenir rain poncho and sandals, you’ll follow a tour guide over wooden walkways to the Hurricane Deck, less than 20 feet from the torrents of Bridal Veil Falls. On the deck, you’ll experience tropical storm-like conditions, getting doused with the spray from the rushing waters.
